I love that they have a page full of vegan dim sum. We didn't try any this time but will be coming back to try some vegan options. The traditional dim sum was so delicious! We were disappointed they didn't have any of the character baos. They pretty much didn't have half of the items on the dessert page. Also, we came on Thanksgiving weekend and there was only one worker. The place is small but he took orders, COOKED and prepared drinks for the entire restaurant. Not sure how he kept it together. Good thing he had the cat robot to help serve! I didn't catch his name but shoutout to you, rockstar!

Finally, dim sum on the westside! So excited! Food Siu Mai - this is very juicy, highly recommend. Turnip Cake - The slightly crisp outside and the tender inside is amazing! Shrimp and Chive dumpling - This tastes SO good! Steamed White Sugar Rice Cake - I order this at every dim sum restaurant. It came out piping hot and loved it. Honey comb beef - The beef was SO tender. Would order again. Lou Mi Gai - This was decent, I'd probably skip it next time. White Phoenix Claws - They used to have this on the menu, so I'm hoping they'll bring it back! Service Dim sum service is always all the over place no matter where we go. Definitely a hit or miss depending on the time you go. If it's not busy, the servers are very attentive. Ambiance I LOVE the outdoor dining option. There are heat lamps and I'm always grateful during these strange times we live in. Who else can say they've had dim sum al fresco? Parking There's street parking but it probably gets very busy during prime meal times.

I'll round up to 4, but feel that 3.5 is more where this spot is at. They had a $5.00 drink happy hour on Friday night, which shocked me! But, the place was also pretty dead, so perhaps they're trying to bring more business in. This also made it difficult to understand why the drinks came out so very slowly. Everything we ordered was was fine/good; nothing was truly astounding, especially as the dumpling skin was fairly thick. The best dumplings we had were the Truffle Jumbo Siu Mai with Caviar, the Curry Chicken Gao, and the Xiao Long Bao with Pork. We enjoyed dinner with our friend, but it's not a place we'd return to unless we happen to be in the area already.

First off, they had a $5 drink happy hour all night on the Friday night we were there. $5 is unheard of and a great deal to get you there to try out their food. Service was nice and helpful, but the drinks come out way too slow. I probably would have had another drink if faster. Maybe purposefully since they are only $5, lol! A must get is the Truffle Jumbo Siu Mai with Caviar. I could have ate these all night especially at only $14. I also enjoyed the Curry Chicken Gao. Their soup dumplings were good but wish the skin was not as thick on the top. Just a preference, and I'm still amazed every time I have these somewhere as complex as they seem to be to make.

Friend signed me up for a bao making class which was fun. There's a right ratio of filling. We don't take baos for granted! We were told we could order dimsum while we worked. So we ordered their dimsum only to not receive our order. We had to ask a few times. We were told that during this class, they don't serve our section which is a contradiction to what we were told earlier. Later, they made good on the missed order and comped us on one order. Unique decor with lots of dark wood, rustic with a tropical look. Street parking.

In summary: It's like an elevated dimsum place that's a fun place to eat, drink and chat with friends. Food: everything was decently good (except for custard bun), not the amazing but definitely tastes like American dim sum. We really enjoyed the jelly fish, ha gow, xiao long bao. Custard bun was awful though, there was only a smear of custard (as you can see in the picture, it was that amount on both sides, I thought it was a joke). Service was great, very kind staff. Parking was difficult like others have mentioned, but we got lucky and parked one block away.
